Beautiful White Sand Dunes in New Mexico — The White Sands National Monument is a U.S. National Monument located in the state of New Mexico, at an elevation of 4235 feet (1291 m). The area is in the mountain-ringed Tularosa Basin and comprises the southern part of a 710-km² (275-mi²) field of white sand dunes composed of gypsum crystals. The plant's roots hold a pillar of sand in place, while the surrounding sands are shifted by wind erosion.

  1. This place seems out of the world when you visit there. We went there before boston to washington dc bus tours and saw a huge crowd over there. You can perform many activities over there like you can go there for flat trial, driving and photography. It’s a landscape of pure white desert scrub brush. The short trail is on a higher boardwalk. It is the only trail in the park that is accessible.
