Guelta d’Archei - The Hidden Treasure of Sahara — Guelta d’Archei is an beautiful Oasis located in the Ennedi Plateau, in North Eastern Chad, South East of the town of Fada in the Heart of Sahara Desert. Everyday, hundreds of camels are herded into the knee deep water of the guelta by passing caravans for them to drink and rest. Dung from thousands of camels excreted over hundreds of years have turned the water black but be careful not to step in the territory hosting of Nile Crocodiles. This place is one among the most beautiful and untouched places on earth.

Floating Slum of Makoka in Nigeria — The village of Makoko in Nigeria is located on a lagoon on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean floats on a lagoon in the center of Lagos. Houses in Makoko are built on sticks. Canoes are the main kind of transportation. Makoko by its status as an illegal settlement, the government is fighting in court to tear down the village, which some call a slum, this is their home. The populations estimates 150,000 to 250,000 people live here in Makoko.

Incredible Ants Spray Acid to Defend Themselves — The incredible moment of a colony of woodland group of ants attack fire jets of formic acid into the air to ward off aerial predators as large as jay birds and woodpeckers. These awesome closeup photos has been captured on camera by wildlife photographer, Paul Quagliana. Used as a defence mechanism to potential predators, the ants dispense the acid from their abdomen gather and emit the substance when sensing a threat overhead in Wareham Forest of Dorset. Although not harmful to humans, but has a strong odor of formic acid produced by the ants can scare off predators.

It is located in the highlands of Guyana Canaima National Park, in the Gran Sabana region of Bolivar State, Venezuela in South America. The height of the falls is so great near the ground and there are no roads leading to the waterfall.

The Longest Outdoor Escalator System in the World — Hong Kong Island is hilly, which makes walking from one street to the next difficult, if you're going uphill. Driving is not an option as owning a private car is very costly in Hong Kong. Taking the bus is silly as you really just want to go up a few streets to buy some rice or grocery. Waiting for the bus to come and to zigzag up the hill would take probably an hour. The government in the early 1990s built an extensive network of outdoor escalators near Hollywood Road in Central and smartest residential area called Mid levels to provide pedestrian access up and down the steep slope. The Mid Levels escalators run between Des Voeux Road in Central with Conduit Road in the district and are the longest series of outdoor covered escalators in the world, running for 800 meters.

A Massive Wave Made out of 3,000 Barbie Dolls — Inspired her own childhood memories, Belgium based artist Annette Thas created a massive collection of Barbie dolls entitled 'Wave 1' for this year featured at the 10th annual Sculptures by the Sea exhibition in Cottlesoe, Australia. Wave 1 is 12 feet wide and towers 9 feet above viewers, the wave of Barbie dolls have each been individually woven together. Annette who collected over 3,000 used dolls from second hand stores and sales to complete this epic work of art. Each Barbie is supposed to be a symbol of the doll's former owner, too.
