After purchasing a retired Boeing 727-200 for $100,000, he placed it in his backyard, otherwise known as the middle of the woods in Oregon. Campbell’s start up costs were actually quite considerable. He paid $17,000 to move the plane from an airport to a staging site, $20,000 to rent the staging site for four months, $21,600 to remove the wings and tail, and $25,000 to finally move it to an unusual and innovative home and office. Campbell is working to restore some of the plane's original features, from the cockpit to flight stairs, a working lavatory, LED lighting and some of the seats. Artist Turns His Car into Art on Wheels for Strangers (11 pics)

Artist Turns His Hyundai Car into Art on Wheels for Strangers to Draw on it - A 2004 Hyundai Elantra is worth about $5,000 cash today, according to Cars.com. Philip Romano's model is probably worth a bit less than that, since it's coated headlight to fender in gritty matte-black chalkboard paint.

The 20-year-old Romano is majoring in psychology at SUNY-Geneseo but describes himself as an artist (been there!). Over the past few days, he's been cruising around New York, parking the car in conspicuous places and waiting to see what happens. Though a matte-black car that comes with its own chalk seems pretty self-explanatory, Romano even invested in a vanity license plate: DRAWONME.
