Giant Gravity Defying Sculptures by Gerry Judah — Artist and designer Gerry Judah has created a stunning centerpiece for the Goodwood Festival of Speed in southern England. His towering sculptures are monuments to the history and thrill of motor sports, and a dazzling treat for the eye. Gerry's sculpture entirely made of steel and although the design looks simple, it’s actually extremely complex, because the structure has to be rigid and completely balanced without the need for hundreds of supporting props. The total weight of the structure is 40 tonnes and it took 12 men four weeks to fabricate, assemble and install real cars from the world's leading corporations Porsche, Ferrari, Jaguar, Audi, Mercedes Benz, Ford, Renault, Rolls-Royce, Toyota, Honda, Alfa Romeo and Land Rover.

Creative Artist Jodi Gives Old Books a Second Life (16 pics)
Creative Artist Jodi Gives Old Books a Second Life — Artist
Jodi Harvey Brown alters old books and gives them a second life by
making beautiful sculptures out of their pages. These wonderful 3D
sculptures of paper take a whole new look at the idea of a “pop-up”
book. Well known fictional characters, sea creatures, monsters, ships
and aircraft are brought to life by Jodi’s vivid imagination and her
great passion for reading. Jodi began book sculpting after being unable
to resist a box of used books at a second hand shop. After folding the
pages of one that had been crushed in the bottom of the box, she was
hooked. Each sculpture is a little more complicated than the one before
it, and at times Jodi includes hand illustrated figures drawing was her
first love. Her husband encouraged her to show her work on an artist
community and it was there she realized book sculpture is a valid art
form.

Amazing Sculptures Made of Household Objects (9 pics)
Amazing Sculptures Made of Household Objects — In Japanese culture, Shintoism is an ancient belief system that asserts that all living organisms and objects carry a spirit within them. For Sayaka Ganz, the idea of objects thrown out needlessly was too much to bear, as she was taught that these discarded, forgotten pieces of our world “weep at night inside the trash bin.” Rather than allow this to happen, Ganz has given new life to found objects—to the plastic spoons to the springs and cords and baskets and cups—forged into phenomenal new life forms.
