The Magic Restroom Cafe of America — A new unusually themed restaurant is America’s first bathroom themed eatery has just opened outside of Los Angeles County’s City of Industry. Inspired by Taipei’s quirky but very popular Modern Toilet restaurant, the Magic Restroom Cafe. Bathroom themed restaurants have had great success in Japan and China in recent years, over a dozen Modern Toilet locations have opened in Taiwan alone, so it seems inevitable that the trend would eventually come stateside.

The 11 Acre Land Art Portrait of a Girl — The face of a six year old girl making a "Wish", is the latest of Rodriguez-Gerada's earthworks portraits, recreated on a ploughed field in Northern Ireland. It required moving more than 4,400 tons of soil and sand with the help of satellite navigation and the work of many volunteers. The process that took 18 months and it is a part of Ulster Bank Belfast Festival at Queen's. It has attracted widespread coverage for the events. It is best to view the artwork by helicopter or when on a plane arriving into the city or from surrounding tall buildings and Titanic Belfast.

The World's First Inflatable Concert Hall — "Ark Nova," the world’s first large-scale inflatable concert hall, is almost complete. Conceived by sculptor Anish Kapoor, architect Arata Isozaki and the Lucerne Festival, Ark Nova will travel the Tohoku region of Japan, an area devastated by the earthquake and tsunami in 2011.
