Amazing Sculptures Made of Household Objects (9 pics)

Amazing Sculptures Made of Household Objects — In Japanese culture, Shintoism is an ancient belief system that asserts that all living organisms and objects carry a spirit within them. For Sayaka Ganz, the idea of objects thrown out needlessly was too much to bear, as she was taught that these discarded, forgotten pieces of our world “weep at night inside the trash bin.” Rather than allow this to happen, Ganz has given new life to found objects—to the plastic spoons to the springs and cords and baskets and cups—forged into phenomenal new life forms.

Artist Turns His Car into Art on Wheels for Strangers (11 pics)

Artist Turns His Hyundai Car into Art on Wheels for Strangers to Draw on it - A 2004 Hyundai Elantra is worth about $5,000 cash today, according to Cars.com. Philip Romano's model is probably worth a bit less than that, since it's coated headlight to fender in gritty matte-black chalkboard paint.

The 20-year-old Romano is majoring in psychology at SUNY-Geneseo but describes himself as an artist (been there!). Over the past few days, he's been cruising around New York, parking the car in conspicuous places and waiting to see what happens. Though a matte-black car that comes with its own chalk seems pretty self-explanatory, Romano even invested in a vanity license plate: DRAWONME.

Unbelievable Colorful Rock Formations in China (11 pics)

Unbelievable Colorful Rock Formations in China — We are living in times when Photoshop is capable of practically anything, but this time it has nothing to do with this article! Zhangye Danxia Landform in China is just one of those places that are hard to believe really exist. Located in Gansu province, a naturally formed landscape astonishes its visitors with the burst of colors – its streaks of yellow, orange and red to emerald, green and blue make it hard to believe it’s all real. The vast area of intensely colored valleys, waterfalls and natural pillars looks surreal in the pictures, reminding more of a impressionistic painting than a photograph.

25 Completely Strange & Unusable Objects

25 Completely Strange & Unusable Objects — Switzerland-born Italian artist Giuseppe Colarusso has a strange fetish for making everyday objects totally unusable. Each of the objects in Colarusso’s pictures are strange, and more than being useless, they would even cause you problems if applied in everyday life: from Egyptian hieroglyphs on a keyboard to a square rolling-pin, or an ordinary hammer with an electrical plug to a table tennis racket with a whole in the middle.

It sometimes takes time to understand what you’re seeing and what’s the catch, and that way every pictures becomes a bit of a puzzle to solve.

“With these images I try to smile and think,” says Colarusso. Looks like his imagination is way out of the box!
