Before the Jishuigang Bridge was built in May 1989, land transportation was not available. Tent City, Mina Saudi Arabia — Mina is a location situated some 5 Km to the east of the Islamic holy city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia. It stands on the road from Mecca’s city centre to the Hill of Arafat. There are more than 100,000 Air Conditioned Tents in Mina providing temporary accommodation to 3 million pilgrims. The tents measure 8 meters by 8 meters and are constructed of fiberglass coated with Teflon in order to ensure high resistance to fire. Nowadays due to lot of people the Saudi govt is also putting some tents outside the boundary of Mina and on reaching the tents took beds outside of tents and sleep with families on the ground as the tents were in Mazdalfa.

More then 100 years old Wisteria (known as fuji in Japan) is said to be one of the archipelago's most ancient noted flowering trees, even being described in the collected poems of the Man'yoshu (Collection of Ten Thousand Leaves).

Giant Gravity Defying Sculptures by Gerry Judah — Artist and designer Gerry Judah has created a stunning centerpiece for the Goodwood Festival of Speed in southern England. His towering sculptures are monuments to the history and thrill of motor sports, and a dazzling treat for the eye. Gerry's sculpture entirely made of steel and although the design looks simple, it’s actually extremely complex, because the structure has to be rigid and completely balanced without the need for hundreds of supporting props. The total weight of the structure is 40 tonnes and it took 12 men four weeks to fabricate, assemble and install real cars from the world's leading corporations Porsche, Ferrari, Jaguar, Audi, Mercedes Benz, Ford, Renault, Rolls-Royce, Toyota, Honda, Alfa Romeo and Land Rover.

A Retired Boeing 727 Turned into a Sweet Home — Bruce Campbell 64 years old is an inventive engineer from Oregon doesn’t just love planes, he lives inside of one. Campbell lives in this plane 6 months every year, and spends the other part of the year in Japan. After purchasing a retired Boeing 727-200 for $100,000, he placed it in his backyard, otherwise known as the middle of the woods in Oregon. Campbell’s start up costs were actually quite considerable. He paid $17,000 to move the plane from an airport to a staging site, $20,000 to rent the staging site for four months, $21,600 to remove the wings and tail, and $25,000 to finally move it to an unusual and innovative home and office. Campbell is working to restore some of the plane's original features, from the cockpit to flight stairs, a working lavatory, LED lighting and some of the seats. What an awesome way of giving the airplane a second life.

The whole is made in house carpentry workshop made all of the wooden fittings including steering wheel, gearstick, hubcaps, radio even his hat is wooden in his garden workshop in the Bosnian town of Banja Luka, near his hometown of Celinac. The workmanship that has gone into this car is priceless.

Beihai City in China - The City of the Dead — Beihai is a city in China which is now known as “The City of the Dead.” More than 100 luxury villas stand empty after they were built six years ago for locals in the Chinese city of Beihai, in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It was originally built as a place for the upper class to live but it’s a ghostly urban landscape with no actual people living in the buildings, because China’s government forbids its citizens from investing money overseas, so there has been a real boom in real estate as people look for safe havens for their wealth. The business owners were hoping for, would actually buy these properties. Many of these properties are priced at over three million yuan or £285,900. The villas will soon need more money spent on them to protect them from the elements.

The Longest Outdoor Escalator System in the World — Hong Kong Island is hilly, which makes walking from one street to the next difficult, if you're going uphill. Driving is not an option as owning a private car is very costly in Hong Kong. Taking the bus is silly as you really just want to go up a few streets to buy some rice or grocery. Waiting for the bus to come and to zigzag up the hill would take probably an hour. The government in the early 1990s built an extensive network of outdoor escalators near Hollywood Road in Central and smartest residential area called Mid levels to provide pedestrian access up and down the steep slope. The Mid Levels escalators run between Des Voeux Road in Central with Conduit Road in the district and are the longest series of outdoor covered escalators in the world, running for 800 meters.

A Massive Wave Made out of  3,000 Barbie Dolls — Inspired her own childhood memories, Belgium based artist  Annette Thas created a massive collection of Barbie dolls entitled 'Wave 1' for this year featured at the 10th annual Sculptures by the Sea exhibition in Cottlesoe, Australia. Wave 1 is 12 feet wide and towers 9 feet above viewers, the wave of Barbie dolls have each been individually woven together. Annette who collected over 3,000 used dolls from second hand stores and sales to complete this epic work of art. Each Barbie is supposed to be a symbol of the doll's former owner, too.

Mitchell Falls, a spectacular chain of 4 waterfalls, is located in the main natural attraction of the Mitchell Plateau region. It is accessed via the Mitchell Plateau Road that heads in a westerly direction off Kalumburu Road in the northern Kimberley in Western Australia. The main walk to the head of the Mitchell Falls is 5km one way, taking about 1½ hrs from the campground. The walk is not difficult, but quite long given that once you've made it there you have to turn around and come back. Along the walk, you can stop to swim in Little Mertens Falls (now renamed to Mertens Falls), Big Mertens Falls (now renamed to Mertens Gorge) and other rockpools.

Endless Super-Desk Seats all 125 Employees — The New York based creative agency Barbarian Group has newly designed offices and the amazing, 'Super-Desk' in their office. A desk that we could all share out of 4,400 square feet of plywood, is so large that the entire company of all 125 employees to share and keep ideas flowing. The undulating ‘Endless Table’ in an open work space that stretches across a city block. The table surface is resin coated and finished like a surfboard, with a plywood which was flat-pack shipped from its fabrication center in L.A. to the office in New York. The desk features gorgeous lines, archways and cubbies, and is topped with a single unbroken surface created by a continuous pour of resin. The result was this undulating wavelike structure, which has flat writing space on top and plenty of seating and group work areas underneath.

Freddy may soon become the largest dog in the world, surpassing Zeus, the Great Dane who currently holds the title in the Guinness Book of World Records that beats Freddy by 3 inches. However, Freddy is still the biggest dog in Britain, by far. His owner, 38-year-old Claire Stoneman from Leigh-on-Sea, Essex, says it costs £4,000 a year just to feed Freddy. Despite his size, Freddy is still just an affectionate puppy that loves cuddling and being with his two-legged mother.
